Salt Production Methods that PSC choose are

Our Production

Solution mining for salt and using Evaporator.

This method is based on technology. Water is injected down to dissolve the caverns in the underground salt beds at 200 metres depth. The brine will be pumped up and purified. Underground caverns can be used as a power storage for oil fields, as a nuclear toxic waste pit for the waste disposal. They can also be used for other purposes such as to store compressed air, etc.

Salt resource in Northeastern part of Thailand

Geologically, the northeast is carried by 18 trillion metric tons of salt beds. These salt deposits are only
30 - 1,000 metres underground. They can be divided as:

  1. Northern basin (Sakon Nakhon basin) covers the areas of Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom at an approximate of 17,000 sq. km.
  2. Southern basin (Korat basin) covers the areas of Khonkaen, Maha Sarakham, Kalasin, Roi Et, Yasothon, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, Surin and Buri Rum at around 33,000 sq. km.
